Pre-game Huddle on Human Trafficking

Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond of New Orleans has joined together with sports officials, the mayor, and the police chief of the Crescent City to address the issue of human trafficking in a public service announcement, as the city prepares to host tomorrow’s Super Bowl.  It is refreshing to see a bishop taking such a public stance on an issue that is not tied up in the culture wars but is still fundamental to human dignity.  Millennials in particular should take this message to heart and take up the battle cry, as human trafficking is one of the great injustices in the world and gives our generation the opportunity and responsibility to effectually re-abolish slavery.
