Have you blinked yet? More stunning news from Rome.
The Vatican has confirmed that Pope Francis the Radical will appoint women to key leadership posts in the Roman Curia.
These comments from papal spokesman Father Frederico Lombardi, SJ follow public statements made by Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga of Honduras saying he was backing more posts for women after the Pope named him this month to lead a task force of eight cardinals from around the world to reform the Roman Curia.
These first movements were hinted in the few weeks of the papacy.
In his first Wednesday audience, Francis said that women played a huge role in the early Church after the resurrection of Christ.
Who else is waiting for the appointment of Sister Simone Campbell to a top position in the Roman Curia?
