The Department of Homeland Security has announced that it is suspending all enforcement of the recent executive order on refugees and migration. The State Department also announced that tens of thousands of visas were revoked as part of the executive order—and that these are now under review with many cancellations now being reversed. This comes in the wake of US District Judge James Robart’s ruling against the ban. Robart was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the Senate in 2004.
Donald Trump responded petulantly on twitter:
The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!
