Francis’ cardinal advisor confirms that Pope Francis’ encyclical will be on environment, poverty

At an event hosted today by Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, Pope Francis’s advisor Cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga of Honduras confirmed that Pope Francis’s upcoming encyclical will address the environment and poverty. He said: “It is not just on global warming. …The problems are more deep.” More updates to come.
